Anaheim, California – To best understand the rabid popularity of the Descendants franchise, one need only watch footage from the Disney Channel’s Disney Fan Fest experience, held this recent weekend at Disney California Adventure park in Southern California.
Screaming little girls cried literal tears of joy upon seeing stars Sofia Carson and Dove Cameron, play Evie and Mal respectively.
The two are reprising their roles for this summer’s forthcoming release of Descendants 3. Fan Fest attendees were treated to a sneak peek of this movie, along with live interactive Fan Fest stage sessions, musical performances, and celebrity meet-and-greet experiences, featuring stars and creators from across the Disney Channel spectrum.

Descendants costar Booboo Stewart, best known for his part as Jay, also joined fans at the event at the theme park. New cast mates Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story) and Jadah Marie also made the rounds. Jackson is joining the production as Hades and Marie will costar as Dr. Facilier’s daughter, Celia. In case the name doesn’t ring a bell, Facilier is the baddie in The Princess and the Frog.
“We want to have a friendly, creative space where people can act a fool,” Stewart said, regarding the movie’s ever expanding cast. “I wish I could say we haze them but we don’t. We welcome them. We’re pretty nice people.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
